Quest

Life treads on...
relentless in its quest...
memories are made...
many remembered and many forgotten...
a few encrusted in stone and left as footprints through the ages..
for seekers to find
and reveal the journey of the human kind
or the marvel of the human mind...

Have we evolved or are we rediscovering...
going in circles in our kind...
just searching and uncovering more mysteries than ever...
when we find an answer to our quest...
does that open more than one mysterious door..
leading us on...through the maze...
only to find ourselves where we began...
but not so ignorant anymore ...
more wiser every time...
we go through the beaten trail
or a least trodden path...
we see the path in varied light each time...
suddenly it dawns...
and lo behold the quest begins
for the source of that light...

seeking balance ...as we drive the car or ride a bike or go through life's blind turns and even eventless paths ...all we need to do to stay the course is maintain balance. Neither lean right or left...just stay centered. But that's the tough part. Especially when it comes to emotional balance. Life's goal is the pursuit of many down the ages- peace, joy, bliss, happiness, weaath, health and so on....but all that come and go...well change is the one true happening thing....but when you can balance your mind and keep that spirit level centered you will feel right and confident. Things will happen, people and situations will change...perspective will change and emotions will rage - but as soon as you are tilting left or right towards a fall you will have to gather yourself and put yourself back to the center. That's balance . The yin and yang principle of the orient and the zero concept and also the 12th chapter of the Gita talk about this balance alone.
stay the course. you are your best friend and worst enemy. your mind is with you or pulling you down. center and balance the mind and your thoughts will fall in line. Just like riding or driving it takes a lot of practie and you will get better at it. keep working at that and one day you will drive the course of life with ease and balance.

Thoughts

WOW what a feeling??? Listening to Raaja songs and reading Samarpanam... these are the best times. Though the time is 12:27am on Wednesday June 17th, i am fresh and bright.

I wanted to share some thoughts about the weekend I spent the best in a long time at home. It started with Doger getting awards in her school. I felt proud and very touched by that. What a proud moment in one's life? These are the moment every parent wants to live for. Gave a gift to Doger. Afternoon a friend from Nissan had come home. Nice moments. Later had been to the temple and Saturday spent at the yard and enjoyed every bit. Path lights were placed. Evening had friends for dinner. Good times. Radhu felt bad for them (V and S). I feel that time will teach them a good experience and direction. Later had spent Sunday with my girls and enjoyed every bit. Played Slide with water. Went to Temple and saw abhisekam's. This was a great feeling. This shows we are blessed by the almighty.

Just now I am listening to "Manathil Enna Ninaivugalo" from Poonthalir... Amazaing song with great Guitar usage....and snare drums...

I also listened to "Khajuraho" sung by Hari and Shreya...what a song...

I pray that every moment needs to be spent like this.... GOD WILLING!!

Regards

Beeyappa.

Sri Purusha Suktham

feels good to revisit after quite awhile.

This morning I had the oppurtunity to browse thru the excellent commentary and translation of "Sri Purusha Suktham" on the www.ramanuja.org website, by V. Sundar. It was wonderful to be taken through to the very beginning and gradually walk thru creation. It is like for a spilt second you just understand it all and not still able visualise to the whole. You just understand and cannot speak of it. One often stands in wonderment and is wrapped in the glory of written and spoken language, but as you go thru some of these texts, one feels that language is so wanting in trying to explain something that is beyond itself and the beyond being so WONDERFUL is somewhat so constrained by the words. Sometimes when you stop thinking, you remove all limitations and go into the experience and feel that. Words are still so incomplete.

The translation is however a great insight of the experienced and takes you very close to the experience of creation itself and the projection of the world from the beginning.

Enjoyed the feeling of being so EXPANDED and humbled at the same time.

Your day as a telemarketer is over.

Over the weekend

I had the greatest time over this weekend being my birthday. First surprise was the airport pickup by Doger/Dingroo and Radhu. Next surprise was the Sketch of me by Radhu. She really touched me with that gesture. Superb one and seemed very real too. Next the kids gave me some surprises and gifts. Love was allover. Most important point was Radhu and me had a great time listening to songs with counterpoints and enjoyed every bit. Doger played the songs she was supposed to play on Monday. BTW I did listen to the same yesterday on the phone. As usual Dingroo was like a cat hugging me and always with me.

Later had dinner with family and Gopal. He had spent for the dinner. All the more later he asked what i had wanted as a gift. That was very touching and also got a shirt from Nithya.

Nowadays we do not entertain many friends. Maybe the reason is Radhu and I have become a bit close and share almost all thoughts under the sun. We can discuss ranging from a wide variety of issues and topics. This was missing earlier?? We also have discussions on the "Tao of physics".

I did have a lot of love from family and good time. god bless for many more...

Love

Beeyappa.
