So glad that music is part of our life. Kids too follow that. Let us keep this rolling as that will bring happiness to us and peace.
Will try to write more interesting music articles in future.

Interesting facts
I just hearrd this today during lunch that in South America there are giant rocks that are intertwined between each other and there are hols drilled almost at 9 inches gap of each other.
Compared to these rocks the Pyramids are child's play. Miniscule in nature. These rocks were dated 5000 years back.
Seeing all these it is starting to proove that there was some presence (aliens?) during those times. Like our dwapara yuga or Tretha yuga where we have Lord Krishna and Lord Rama. So this prooves that Indian epics are real..
Your thoughts??

Respect and Love
letting go of our children is more important than holding onto them. mentally ,physically and emotionally this is the best gift of a parent to a child. We are guiding them and providing them the oppurtunities that we think are good for them. They walk on that path and we make sure they do. If the path they want to take is not to our liking, we will manipulate their minds in the pretext of our knowledge and experience. But is that really what matters?
What are values we give them? We have to first live by what we expect of them. Even then, if they differ, then we have to respect the difference. Respect for the diversity in all creation is what will probably take us to the next step in evolution and the first step should be taken by us.
Its all that matters. With true respect i think true love dawns.

children
I just read the latest essay in TIME magazine by kurt Andersen " that was then and this is NOw"
On how the end of the era of excess is good for the US.
He talks at some point, about the turn of the 20th century and how England had to face the fact that it would have to relinquish its Supremacy over the world and take its place as one among the many. Between the 2 world wars it contracted to a nation within its physical limits and that is when America came up to the forefront. Now the turn of this century is seeing America go thro something of the same kind. The crisis ,as we so call it and are terrorised by, is probably the fear of losing the forefront spot only. If we wilfully contract and change our ways to step in and march along with the nations of the world which we have so far resisted...it might be easier on us.
This is not a race. it is life in the global level and to fit in and walk in tandem not run wild hither and thither and lose it all..
Change is the only reality as philosophies and spirituality often quotes. To accept and go along with it helps more than to resist.
Including deep and simple philosophical life lessons into our kids curriclum might help them face life better than us.
Hollywood already does this through its recent cartoon ventures "Cars" and "KungFu panda".
Watch them discuss lessons learned with kids.
One more way of interacting with you family.

surrender / sharanagathi
this weeks NOW session had a wonderful moment when the true meaning of sharanagathi dawned on me. When Suresh talked about the crucification scene from the movie"Passion of Christ", he tried to bring out the effect of the frame when they show the expression on Mother Mary's face. That moment signifies total surrender to the destined occurence. When you are left powerless to see your own child suffering the torture, and cannot do anything about it but to mentally join your son's side by giving in to that moment beyond emotion - beyond joy and sorrow....
We often feel surrender in moments that please us. I have always had resistance for many moments in life out of conditioning and when i just go ahead let that resistance slip , it feels like the water flowing smoothly on the ground and finding its way naturally.....
I just understood the word Sharanagathi...

Precious Gifts ever
i love my family...
wonderful parents who were there through great and not so great times...always wished well for me and let me grow free of fetters and let my mind and heart explore many an endeavour fearlessly....
my dear extended family that etched me and shaped the crudities...taught me so many small yet valuable lessons which I shall always cherish and carry forward...
my dear husband - he came like a storm and swept me off in a short time..into the unknown premise. I knew I was adventurous and a BIG risk taker, when i jumped into our wedding. Many a tear it brought, with many a pleasure that I sought. I realised the stark pain of duality amidst wedded bliss. It was like a cool shower, alternating with the scorching sun. A gentle breeze with a brewing storm around the corner...But as the dust settled I felt a tug in my hand and a sweet song in my heart. I saw him guide me into his luscious green field of his unwavering love...filled with flowers of his deep devotion....tears rolled down and i then realised the storm was in me, while all the time he was holding onto to me and leading me through, to his love filled heart. He is happy, cheerful, FULL of LIFE, quick, restless and very spontaneous. He brought the Love of music deep into my being. He showed the way through, to many a spiritual quest, letting me walk ahead and watching me falter and rise. I'AM TRULY HAPPY....
my daughters are God's best gift to me...I see in them his unending grace and love. I learn so much from them and they are like the sun and moon that i see everyday. Their smiles, tears, love, laughter, dreams, hopes, disappointments and their own sweet self engulfs our void, with the goodness of LIFE...thank you for the precious gift.
my friends are like the stars ever shining and add the beauty to the firmament of life itself. be it dark or light they shine forever...staying their course and always there when you look up...it is a blessing to have dear friends all through one's life and i thank the heavens for such a blessing....
